Latest Google update: Add shipping & return policies on GSC 🚀
Google Search Console now lets you set your shipping and return policies directly within the platform. Embrace this update to gain a competitive edge and enhance your online visibility!
Here is an exciting update from Google that’s set to simplify your online store management! 🚀
Google Search Console now lets you set your shipping and return policies directly within its platform, making it easier than ever to manage these crucial aspects of your business.
Why This Matters
Managing your shipping and return policies just got a whole lot easier.
Instead of relying on website configurations or product-level merchant listing markup, you can now set these details directly in Google Search Console.
This change gives you more control and ensures your policies are always up-to-date and consistent across Google’s platforms.
How It Works
To get started, simply login to your Google Search Console account.
Click on the gear icon to access your settings, select your property, and navigate to “shopping.”
From there, you can choose “shipping and returns” to manage your policies.
Adding Shipping Policies
Here’s a quick guide:
Open your Search Console settings.
Under Shopping, choose Shipping and Returns.
Select the Shipping tab and click Add Shipping Policy.
Choose the applicable country.
Set your delivery times (min and max days).
Configure your shipping costs (flat rate, free over a certain amount, free, or other).
Click Submit.
Repeat for each country you ship to.
Adding Return Policies
Adding return policies is just as straightforward:
Open your Search Console settings.
Under Shopping, choose Shipping and Returns.
Select the Returns tab and click Add Return Policy.
Choose the applicable country.
Enter your return policy URL.
Set your return window (number of days for returns or no returns).
Configure your return costs (flat rate, free, or percentage of the product price).
Click Submit.
Repeat for each country you ship to.

Editing or Deleting Policies
Need to make changes? No problem:
Open your Search Console settings.
Under Shopping, choose Shipping and Returns.
Click the More Settings icon next to the policy you want to modify.
Choose Edit or Delete and follow the prompts.

Timing and Approval
Shipping details are automatically approved immediately.
However, return policies are manually verified, which can take about 10 to 13 days.
Once submitted, your return policies will be marked as “pending” until they’re approved by Google.
Why You Should Care
If managing shipping and return policies across multiple platforms has been a hassle, this new feature in Google Search Console is your solution.
It streamlines the process and ensures your policies are always current, improving your customer experience and potentially boosting your organic visibility and sales.
